We Tested These BLUETTI Power Stations: Here’s What We Found

To get a real sense of how BLUETTI’s power stations perform, we put a few of their popular models to the test. From camping trips to home backup scenarios, we’ve compared their charging methods, battery capacities, weight, compatibility, and more. Here’s how they stacked up:

B80P Expansion Battery

B80P Expansion Battery
  • Capacity: 806Wh
  • Weight: 9.9 kg
  • Charging Methods: AC, solar, car outlet (max 200W)
  • Full Charge Time: 4.5–5 hours
  • Compatibility: Smartphones, laptops, car appliances
  • Expandability: Works with BLUETTI’s AC60 power station, or as a standalone unit.

Testing Results

The B80P handled charging multiple devices like phones, tablets, and even a mini fridge. Its compact size and ability to recharge via car made it a practical choice for long drives and remote locations. However, its slower charging time (about 5 hours via AC) made it less ideal for quick recharges when compared to other models.

Best Use: Camping, road trips, and as an emergency backup at home. The lightweight design makes it easy to transport.

AC300 Inverter Module Generator

AC300 Inverter Module Generator
  • Capacity: Expandable up to 12,288Wh (with B300 batteries)
  • Weight: 21.6 kg (without batteries)
  • Charging Methods: AC (up to 3,000W), solar (up to 2,400W), car outlet
  • Full Charge Time: Around 2 hours with dual inputs
  • Compatibility: RVs, home appliances, power tools
  • Expandability: Can connect with up to 4 B300 batteries for large-scale energy storage.

Testing Results

The AC300 powered an essential home appliances during a simulated power outage, including a fridge, microwave, and lights. Its expandability is impressive—by adding extra B300 batteries, you can store enough energy to keep your home running for days. With dual-input charging (AC + solar), we reached a full charge in just over two hours, making it an excellent option for fast home power restoration.

Best Use: Home backup, RV trips, off-grid projects, and long-term power needs. If you need serious energy storage with the ability to expand, the AC300 is a solid choice.

AC500 Power Station

AC500 Power Station
  • Capacity: Expandable up to 18,432Wh (with 6 B300S batteries)
  • Weight: 30 kg (without batteries)
  • Charging Methods: AC (up to 5,000W), solar (up to 3,000W)
  • Full Charge Time: 1.5–2 hours with dual inputs
  • Compatibility: Smartphones, laptops, RVs, appliances
  • Expandability: Can connect with up to 6 B300S batteries.

Testing Results

We pushed the AC500 to its limits by powering a full-sized refrigerator, an air conditioner, and a desktop PC simultaneously. It handled everything effortlessly, with no signs of strain thanks to its 5,000W output. The charging speed was exceptional, especially with dual inputs, allowing us to recharge in under 2 hours.

Best Use: Large home backup systems, RVs, and off-grid setups where you need heavy-duty, long-lasting power. It’s ideal if you’re powering high-demand devices for extended periods.

AC2P Portable Power Station

AC2P Portable Power Station
  • Capacity: 230Wh
  • Weight: 3.5 kg
  • Charging Methods: AC, solar, car outlet (up to 200W)
  • Full Charge Time: Around 1.5 hours via AC
  • Compatibility: Smartphones, laptops, small appliances
  • Expandability: None.

Testing Result

In a camping trip test, the AC2P kept phones and cameras charged while powering a small portable fan for a few hours. It recharged quickly with solar, making it perfect for short trips or day-long hikes. Its lightweight design made it easy to toss in a backpack or carry around a campsite.

Best Use: Camping, day trips, or as a quick backup for small electronics. It’s compact and efficient but not suited for large-scale power needs.

EB3A Power Station

EB3A Power Station
  • Capacity: 268Wh
  • Weight: 4.6 kg
  • Charging Methods: AC (350W), solar (up to 200W)
  • Full Charge Time: 30 minutes (0-80% via AC + solar)
  • Compatibility: Smartphones, laptops, UPS for sensitive electronics
  • Expandability: None.

Testing Results

The EB3A has surprisingly quick charging capabilities—hitting 80% charge in 30 minutes using both AC and solar. It performed well powering a laptop, small kitchen appliance, and phone during a day-long power outage. Plus, the UPS feature kicked in perfectly, keeping computer running without any interruption during a simulated power cut.

Best Use: Portable office power, UPS backup for electronics, or a quick-charge option for smaller devices. This is the best choice if you need reliable power in a hurry.
